Performance Cell Manufacturing (PCM), a division of VetStem Biopharma, announced the opening of its expanded cGMP cell therapy manufacturing facility at its headquarters in Poway, California. PCM was born from VetStem’s 15 years of experience with cGMP compliant cell therapy product development and manufacturing. PCM provides cell therapy development and cGMP contract manufacturing for companies conducting FDA phase 1 and phase 2 clinical trials.

Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Carolyn Wrightson, stated, “This facility is the culmination of six years of planning and research, supported by over a decades’ worth of commercial cell laboratory experience. The new cleanroom space will enable us to double our manufacturing of cell products for companies conducting clinical trials for cell therapy.”

PCM has provided technology transfer services and cell products for companies conducting FDA clinical trials for safety and efficacy. Dr. Bob Harman, CEO and co-founder of both PCM and VetStem, stated, “Quality is a critical element in cell manufacturing. PCM has been committed to quality since the beginning and have worked directly with the FDA to ensure our products and services adhere to the strictest guidelines for safety.”
